Downloading and Installing the Intel C/C++ Compiler Plug-in

To download and install the Intel C/C++ Compiler plug-in, do the following:

  1. If it is not already installed on your system, install Adobe Acrobat now (to be able to read the Intel C/C++ Compiler User's Guide for Win32* Systems).
Note: Even if you are a previous Intel compiler user, you must download the current version (3.0) of Adobe Acrobat to read the new manual supplied with this release.
  2. Your Windows* system responds with a Save As dialog box.
  3. In the Save As dialog box, specify a directory where you want to save the executable file and then click OK.
  4. Once you download the executable file, you can run the executable by double-clicking on it from the Windows File Manager/Explorer, or you can run it from the command prompt. When you run the executable, the executable will step you through an installation process and install the appropriate files. These files include the compiler, libraries, and documentation that can be viewed using Adobe Acrobat.
